Nowaday nearly all Moodle icons are either SVG or fontawesome quality and therefore look sharp.
High resolutions displays are wide spread.
The icons for the filetypes do need SVG versions since they show the lack of it quite clearly.
In Moodle version ≥ 4.0 the icons are all blank 'pages'.
MDL-75611 should bring the SVG icons in and URL activities have those then according to the linked file type.
This issue here leads then the resource activity to have the same icons.
