Login as admin Make sure 'Hide totals if they contain hidden items' setting is set to 'Hide' in 'Site administration / Grades / Report settings / User report' settings Create a course and enrol student s1 Go to the Gradebook setup Add a category "Grading category A" Create a grade item inside the previous category ("Grade item A.1"). Make sure grade item is set to be hidden Go to the Grader report view, turn editing on and give student s1 a grade for the created grade item "Grade item A.1" Go to User report page (from the View tab) and see report for user s1 Check grade for category total is not visible (it displays hyphen only) Go to the Gradebook setup Lock grade category "Grading category A" Go to User report page (from the View tab) and see report for user s1 Check grade for category total is not visible (it displays hyphen only)
