Go to the question bank in any course.

Create a new question (truefalse is simple) and set the idnumber to 'frog'

Note that you can see the idnumber in the question bank view (only 38 and master).

Edit the question again.

Delete the contents of the idnumber filed.

Click save changes

Verify there is now no idnumber set on the question.
