MDL-67879-Blind_log_evidence
We're a Unviersity and we use Moodle as our official platform for almost all student learning resources and activities - especially assignments.
We have received a number of support requests where when an assignment is configured to use blind marking there is no ability to evidence a submission in the event a technical issue with the platform is identified and system logs are requested.
We understand why logging for blind marking is minimal, however this significantly reduces our ability to prove or disprove a user's actions where the student may have recourse against the University for not utilising a fit-for-purpose platform.
A suggestion we'd like to put forward is to add some kind of flag to a log entry that to access it requires a specific capability or role? The logging would then continue as normal, however the entry would only be available to those with the role or capability?
