The fact that users can get alerts / notifications in the web interface is already a great thing, however, it would be nice if admins had the possibility to create customized notifications and "push" them to all users or to specific users via the web interface, (e.g. targetting cohorts or groups or course participants or specific roles...).

For instance, one might want to address a reminder or a specific information message to all users through the web interface without sending an e-mail to all.
