    Description

      It has become increasingly apparent that many terms we use today could make people feel unwelcome or excluded from the community. A key example is that of whitelist and blacklist when used to allow/deny things.

      We should do an audit of all language in Moodle for these kinds of exclusive language and look to update them to be more inclusive.

      Other projects have been looking to rename the master branch as this is seen in a master/slave context. See https://localheinz.com/blog/2020/06/12/black-lives-matter/ for example.
