Add the "recently accessed items" block to the dashboard Go to a course, "Turn editing on" In any given section, "Add an activity or resources" From the list of available activities in the modal, choose "External Tool" to configure a new LTI Set a name In the "General" section, click on "show more..." Provide a path to an image in the "Icon URL" input field. Click the "Save and display" button to view the activity. It will be blank - this is fine. Now, create an assignment and a quiz in the course and view each of these. Return to the dashboard Verify : The LTI activity is shown in the "Recently Accessed Items" block and The LTI activity is displayed with the custom image you picked for it. Inspect the image using developer tools Verify (regression test) : The title reads 'External Tool' The alt attribute reads 'External Tool' Inspect the image for the assignment and the quiz, in turn.
