      Description

ISSUE: Forum Activity - Unable to "copy & paste" from local machine into forum post/reply without image being stripped out upon saving

      SUMMARY:

Currently in Moodle 3.8 onwards, when you add a forum activity into a course page, when starting a new discussion topic or replying to a thread, you can "copy and paste" from your local machine (e.g. print screen or image copied from Skitch/3rd party software) but as soon as you save the post/reply the image is stripped out.

Firstly, can anyone confirm if this is intended behaviour, IE is this a bug or improvement?

Secondly, I have searched the tracker but could not find an appropriate similar ticket representing this, if present please link

N.B. Attachments do work in forums, adding image through atto editor "insert image" also works without issue. Also works in label activity.

Image below of HTML view when image is copied and pasted (not inserted):

This is regarding hashing? (Apologies not something I'm knowledgebable on...)
