Previously stored files in Folder show in their subfolders and will show in expanded form. When adding files however, the subfolders tree isn't visible in the upload box and each file that is uploaded goes to the bottom of the list of files. If a subfolder is created it also just goes to the bottom of the list. No files can be added to it. It is impossible to select an existing file and delete it.
I would like to be able to put files in subfolders as well as move the subfolders around and delete files using the teacher's editing function, as it was before Moodle 3.10,
To reproduce the problem, open the Folder activity and try to add a subfolder and then place a file in it. You will find that the file goes to the bottom of the list and cannot be put in the subfolder. You will also not be able to select and delete the file or folder. What I expected was the way it was before when the tree of subfolders was editable and files could be placed in different subfolders and subfolders could be put in subfolders.
If this functionality has been intentionally phased out, I would like to know how designers propose to allow teachers to present files for students in an organized fashion.
I was unable to duplicate the problem on another Moodle installation. The folders worked as before on this other Moodle 3.10 installation. The Moodle installation that had the issue had the issue still has this issue on all courses on the site. I don't know where to look to find out what is causing the difference.
