    Description

We are loooking for a third naming scheme option for auto-created groups which would display students' firstnames/surnames. The naming schemes available are either numbers or alphabetical letters.

This would be really useful for groups with one member per group.
"Individual" groups are a way of tailoring learning paths for individual students within a course by restricting/granting access to activities, based on groups. The current naming schemes require teachers to keep a translation table (Group A = Kim, etc.).

This feature has been discussed, and rejected, a long time ago MDL-47161 . But we think, there is a use and need for it. The demand for individualisation in learning is stronger today, all over the educational sector, than it was in 2014. One course per student would be an alternative way of individualising, but for pedagogical and practical reasons, we do not favour it.
