This has been bugging me for a while and we need to start doing something about it.

We have a number of classes which are not autoloaded or namespaced, and which are very widely used, which we would like to move into a namespace. Because they are so widely used we will never deprecate the original class, but we should look to rename them and move them into a namespace never-the-less.

In theory we only expect this to affect core and subsystems but not plugins.
