Setup or create a course:

Course visibility set to "Hide"

Start date last week

End date in 1 month

Enrol a couple of students

Enrol a teacher

Go to Site administration > Analytics > Analytics models

Click on actions > invalid site elements for "Students who have not accessed the course recently" model

Confirm you see a Hidden from students text the in Invalid to get predictions column and a Models based on assumptions do not need training text in the Invalid to train the model column for the course you just created

Go to course settings and change course visibility to 'Show'

Go to Site administration > Analytics > Analytics models

Click on actions > invalid site elements for "Students who have not accessed the course recently" model

Confirm the course is not listed.

Description

Just noting a recent discussion in Analytics and reporting forum I've checked hidden courses generate insights.

Hidden courses can be used for training but we might not want to generate insights for them because students do not have access to hidden courses and they can not generate activity in them if they do not have access.

In a similar way to ~~MDL-66806~~ for "Students at risk" model.
