      Description

      See

      MDL-44505: Make subject line of forum notifications a configurable language string (2.7)

      https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=420164#p1695913

      https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=375795

      Specifying the subject line of a notification would enable teachers to determine in the inbox which activity from course has just been submitted, e.g. language>mod_assign>gradersubmissionupdatedsmall >
      "{$a->courseshortname}: {$a->assignment} - has updated their submission"
      But this does not work.
      The placeholder {$a->courseshortname} is not recognised and is output as text, when apparently it should be parsed.
      Never having previously ventured into the language component, it would also be useful if there could be a help appendix page listing the various placeholder options.

      The option to adjust the subject line is valuable. If it could be tweaked, that would be even better.
      Thank you
