Step 1:

Go to Site administration > Plugins > Text editors > Atto HTML editor > Atto toolbar settings.

In 'Toolbar config' check that 'recordrtc' is listed in 'files'.

Click on Settings

Should not see 'Time limit in seconds' old setting (The old value of 'Time limit in seconds' config will be set to the two new settings. )

Input a new value for 'Audio time limit in seconds' or leave it with the default value.

Input a new value for 'Video time limit in seconds' or leave it with the default value.

Save

Requires a computer with microphone and testing on all supported browsers

Step 2: Edit your profile.

Step 3: In the description click on 'Record audio' or 'Record video'

Step 4: Start recording

Step 5: Check the countdown second matches the setting in Step 1

Description

Currently exists config maximum recording length allowed for the audio/video clips is default about two-minute. It will be more convenient for users to separate out max_time for audio and video files.

Incidentally, a five-minute audio clip is about 5 MB, a five-minute video clip is ~90 MB, so it makes sense to allow 10-15 minutes of audio but a maximum of 5-6 minutes video.
