- Set $CFG->upgradekey = 'something'; in your site config as per docs
- Bump any plugin version to trigger an upgrade. For instance, you can edit admin/tool/task/version.php and set the version to 2021052502 (or any higher number than the existing one).
- Confirm that when prompted for the upgrade key, the page has Bootstrap styles for the form, i.e. blue "Submit" button is displayed below the text field (like so: Upgrade key required.png
).

When upgrading, if $CFG->upgradekey has been set (MDL-51261), the page containing the prompt for said key could benefit from Bootstrap styling so it's consistent with other forms in Moodle
