Improve displaying of overdue items in the timeline block

      Setup

      1. Create a course, with a teacher and student enrolled.
      2. As the teacher (or admin) create three assignments in the course, with names and due dates as follows:
        1. "Drum theory", due any time with yesterday's date.
        2. "Guitar theory", due 01:00 on today's date.
        3. "Bass theory", due 23:00 on today's date.
        4. "Vocal theory", due any time tomorrow.

      Testing

      1. Log in as the student.
      2. Visit the dashboard, and add the timeline block if it isn't already visible.
      3. Use the dropdowns in the block to set the filter/sorting to "All" and "Sort by dates" if they are not already set.
      4. CONFIRM you see an Overdue badge next to the the activity names for "Drum theory" and "Guitar theory".
      5. CONFIRM you do not see an Overdue badge next to the activity names for "Bass theory" and "Vocal theory".
      6. CONFIRM you do not see an Overdue badge next to any of the bolded date headings (eg where it says something like "Wednesday, 22 September 2021").
      7. Set the filter dropdown to "Overdue".
      8. CONFIRM you see both "Drum theory" and "Guitar theory" in the timeline block in both views (sort by date and sort by courses).

    Description

      Currently, the timeline block's handling of overdue items only factors in past dates (it ignores items that have expired "today"), and lists it once per date. To improve visibility and reduce ambiguity/ thinking required to process that information in the timeline block, we should update this so that each overdue item shows the "overdue pill" next to the activity name of all activities which are currently overdue. This should apply to any overdue activity, including those due "earlier today".

      Originally, we were planning to continue to show "per date" (except for items that have expired "today"), but with the increased cognitive load for users and development complexity, it was decided that we should keep this simple and simply list the status next to all relevant activities.
