Before you begin, ensure that you are using the Boost theme and are using a desktop web browser as you will need to use your mouse. Test Log into Moodle as a site administrator. Navigate to Site Administration > Advanced Features . Ensure that the Enable Global Search  option is unchecked . Scroll to the bottom of the page and apply using the Save Changes button. Notice that the Search icon (magnifying glass) is visible. VERIFY: Hover your mouse over the Search icon to reveal its tooltip. If you see a tooltip, the fix is working. Now repeat both tests using the Classic theme. You should see the same results as the modified code is theme-independent. Note: If you don't see the Search icon, the Global Search may not be enabled or indexed.
