Only display courses in the timeline block if they contain events

Currently in the timeline block, when you are in courses view it loads all courses, even if some do not contain any items (they show "No activities require action").

We need to update this, so that instead of showing that message, we do not show those courses at all, ie we only included courses in that view if they have any events matching the current parameters (time period, search parameters).
