      Note: Seriously, I don't think this needs actual testing as both fixes were already tested in original issues, and the patch is trivial.

      If you insist, simply follow the testing instructions from both relevant issues MDL-73748 and MDL-73765.

      After implementing the referenced issues (thanks David for the patches!) we expect to reduce spikes in our servers for updated 3.11 sites. It would be perfect if these patches could be backported to 3.9 and 3.10 as they're still being used similarly:
