Make sure that you've enabled feedback and contact support features.

      1. Enable the enableuserfeedback setting under "Site Administration > General > Feedback settings".
      2. Insert a domain in the supportpage setting under "Site administration > Server > Support contact". Otherwise, the external icon will not be displayed, as it will link to an internal form.
      3. Go to your Dashboard
      4. Verify that there is a small space between the text "Give feedback about this software" and the icon that is displayed next to it
      5. Open the footer popover by clicking on the "?" button at the bottom-right of the page
      6. Verify that there is a small space before all the "⧉" icons (the actual icons look similar to it)

Links which refers to an external location has an additional icon which is not well displayed, e.g., underlined white space character. It would be better to put the icon within a span element and style it with a Bootstrap class.
