Go to frontpage and make sure the Moodle standard favicon is displayed

Go to login page and make sure the Moodle standard favicon is displayed

Log in and go to Site Administration / Appearance / Logos

Upload you new favicon in PNG or ICO formats

Save changes and make sure your new favicon is displayed

Navigate, log out and in again and make sure the new favicon is always displayed

Go to Site Administration / Appearance / Logos

Delete the favicon file and save changes

Make sure the Moodle standard favicon is displayed

This allows admins to configure the favicon of the Moodle site without changing any files on the server side.

The Favicon is configured on the "Logos" settings page.
