These manual testing instructions should confirm the styling for the default templates is OK and looks similar to the attached screenshots to the description (most of the default templates were covered by pre-existing behat tests).

      Manual test

      Smoke test to confirm styles.

      1. Create a database activity.
      2. Add a few fields to the database activity (it's recommended to have different field types; one of them should be an image).
      3. Go to the Templates tab (this step won't be required once MDL-75234 will be integrated).
      4. Add some entries to the database (at least 2).
      5. In the entries creation form, check the fields in the "New entry" form are displayed following the design in the screenshot (so bold title and field below the field name).
      6. Go to the "List view".
      7. Check the entries are displayed in a 2-columns format, with the field name in bold.
      8. Check the Actions menu is displayed in the right-top corner of each entry.
      9. Click the "Advanced search" checkbox.
      10. Check the fields are displayed in bold. Check the name and the input field are displayed in different lines. Check each row has a maximum of 3 fields.
      11. Check the "Author first name, "Author last name" and "Tags" fields are displayed too.
      12. Select "Single view".
      13. Check the field name and the field content are displayed in different lines, with the field name in bold.
      14. Check the Actions menu is displayed on the top right.
      15. Check the Added by, Date added and Date modified fields are displayed too.
      16. Edit the image field type and set "Width in single view", "Height in single view", "Width in list view" and "Height in list view".

    Description

Following the prototype, improve the default preset templates. For instance, these are some of the changes to consider

      • The List view and the Single view should replace current icons for the new ##actionsmenu## created in MDL-75275.
      • The Add entry template should display the form names and fields in different lines (instead of doing it in the same row).
      • The advanced search template should follow the design of the form.
        • Attention: This is still being reviewed; it can be skipped here if there is no final template for the advanced search when this issue is implemented because there is an issue for dealing with advanced search.

Note: This issue is only for improving the default templates, so it shouldn't include any other change.
