Hi there,
We've had issues previously where scheduled tasks failing quietly has led to issues with external database enrollments not being in place, or forum notification emails not being sent etc. With enrollments in particular as you may imagine it would be useful to know about this quickly, it would be a nice to have feature if an email could be sent to a given email address upon a scheduled task failing so that an admin may act upon it quickly.
This has come up as a request previously on the Moodle.org forums: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=349304 so it would seem to be a desirable feature.
