Implement a new group selector in the Grader report

      Prerequisites

      A course with groups enabled (set to Separate groups or Visible groups), with multiple groups, and multiple participants enrolled per group. A teacher must also be enrolled in the course.

      Instructions

      1. Login as a teacher and go to the course.
      2. Select Grades from the secondary navigation.
      3. Select Grader Report from the tertiary navigation dropdown.
        • Confirm that the group selector is displayed in the tertiary navigation.
        • Confirm that the group selector is no longer displayed in the main body of the page (below the tertiary navigation).
      4. Select a group from the group selector.
        • Confirm that the report only shows the selected group.
      5. Start typing a group name in the group selector text box.
        • Confirm that the group list updates to match the search term.

      Summary:

      In Moodle 4.1 we have replaced the old group selector with a new improved selector (offers search functionality) in the grade User and Single view reports.

      The aim of this this issue is to implement the same group selector within the Grader report as well following the same UI patters as in the User and Single view reports.

      With this change we will further improve the usability in the Grader report and continue creating a more consistent user experience within the gradebook pages.

      Scope:

      1. Replace instances of the old group selector with the new selector in the Grader report
      2. Render the new group selector within the tertiary navigation area (right next to the general tertiary navigation selector element)
