      Moodle messaging directed from activities and course contexts should include a link to the context from which the message is sent. Moodle messaging used for in-course purposes is weak, since the teacher must remember to also include which course and which activity etc. they are communicating from, pasting manually respective URLs into the message box, etc.
      It would be great if such messages could auto-insert the current page's URL / context etc. into the message, or auto-append such info when sending.

      Below I list some contexts that would benefit:

      • any course page using "With selected", as recently added in Assignments - should include the activity name and link as well as the name and link of the course;
      • Participants list - messages sent using "With selected" should include the course's name and link;
      • Messages sent from the user's course profile - should include the course's name and link;
      • messages started from the the course's Insights page - should include the course's name and link.

      Perhaps there are other needy contexts.

      (This idea was first raised in the discussion of MDL-55929.)
