The Timeline is an important tool for students, and teachers, to organize their workflow. But it shows only activities with dates in courses, and does not show events added directly to the calendar.
This makes it easy to miss out calendar events. Calendar events should also be visible in the Timeline, perhaps with the option to "Show only activities" in the dropdown.
