The problem is this:
- You have a hidden section.
- There are several activities within the section.
- A set of those activities will be shown when the section becomes shown.
- A set of those activities will remain hidden when the section becomes shown.
It's impossible for a teacher to know which of those activities will be visible or hidden without setting the state of the section visible. Not even visiting the module settings and seeing the visible state of the activity.
My proposal is to have to tags for the hidden state in the main course page:
- "Hidden from students". Indicates that the activity will be invisible event after showing the section.
- "Hidden from students because of hidden section". Indicates that the activity will be visible after setting the section visible.
