Would it be possible at some point to enable the User and Group overriding options in ALL the activities?
Currently they exist for Quiz and Assignment, but I would like to use them in Forums and Feedback and why not in all of the activities...
Let me share the business case:
I am running a course, with several groups in separate group mode.
The course will remain open for two years, and within the two years we'll have about 4-6 groups. Each group needs to complete the course activities within a specific period:
Group A - during Feb-Mar 2023
Group B - during Jun-Jul 2023 etc.
So, I want now to "lock" the activities so as to allow Group A see all the activities, but not submit anymore. In Assignments I did that by setting a cut-off date for that group.
Unfortunately, I can't do the same for the Forums. I can lock the forum discussions, but I cannot prevent them from creating a new one.
- I don't want to hide the Forums from them so I can't use group restrictions and
- I don't want to create another user Role to assign that role to the members of the Group A, in order to override role capabilities and prevent them from creating new discussions.
