Summary of problem
The current format of the question versioning affects statistical reporting when minor corrections/amendments are made during or after a quiz assessment has occurred. In previous versions, if any errors leading to confusion or misunderstanding was encountered during or after a quiz assessment, facilitators were able to amend the question, the update would be immediately reflected in the quiz and the quiz statistics would be unaffected by the change. This is not currently happening on v4.1.5 as the change to a question updates the version, and even though the question is set to Always the latest the update does not appear during an ongoing quiz and in the case of an edit to a question answer, the statistics only shows the stats for the users affected by the amendment.
Suggestions
- When questions are edited, is it possible to give the user the option to keep the change within the current version of the question, while also updating current attempts, if the change is considered minor;
- Alternatively, have the statistics reflect all attempts, if an amendment is made to 1 question.
Kind regards
