I configured a list of "Allowed email domains" (allowemailaddresses) on a Moodle 4.1.6 to limit the creation of accounts to certain users. The checkbox “Restrict domains when changing email” (verifychangedemail) is by default on “Yes”.

I can create a user with an address that is not in the whitelist.

Tthis user can connect but can't modify his profile, including when he doesn't modify his email address. He sees the message "This email is not one of those that are allowed".

Expected solution: if the user modifies elements of the profile other than the email address, the modifications should be accepted.
