This issue was detected during accessibility audit on learner-facing pages in Workplace performed in August-September 2023 by AbleDocs.

Problem 1: The events in the calendar which pop up on focus/hover can not be dismissed without moving the focus

To reproduce:

1. Make sure you have some events in the course calendar
2. Add calendar block to the course page
3. Login as a student to the course and tab to the dates in the calendar that have events
4. You will notice that as you tab to the date, the popup appears with the list of the evens on this date. You can not get rid of this popup without tabbing away (but then another one appears instead)

Problem 2: While dates on the calendar are only active when an event exists on that date, there is no indication other than visual tooltips as to the purpose of the active date

We were asking AbleDocs to test some workplace functionality but they do not really know what is LMS and what is Workplace. We had an old course in the demo site that still had some blocks in the blocks area and we never paid attention to them. This is one of the several issues reported about the LMS blocks.
