Improve long activity name display in upcoming events block

      To test this:

      • You need to be enrolled in a course as a teacher.
      • Add the Upcoming events block on the course page.

       

      Testing steps:

      1. Log in to Moodle with a user that is a teacher in a course.
      2. Access the course where you are a teacher.
      3. Turn editing on.
      4. Ensure that you have the Upcoming events block added to the course page.
      5. Create an assignment activity with the following details:
        • Assignment name: Chapter 7: "The Social Architecture of Industrial Society: Patterns & Changes" - Research Paper
        • Due date: A future date, such as, a week from today.
      6. Save changes and return to the course page.
      7. Confirm that in the Upcoming events block, you can see/read the full assignment name as Chapter 7: "The Social Architecture of Industrial Society: Patterns & Changes" - Research Paper .

      In MDL-79701, a regression is addressed where the truncated activity name in the upcoming events block can be read through hovering to see the title, however we can further improve this by making more of the activity name visible as well, to reduce the likelihood the hover needs to be performed.

      This is something that has been improved elsewhere recently (see MDL-77364 for the same improvement on the My Courses page). The approach taken on this issue should be consistent with that.
