Unable to upgrade with error Unknown plugin type: core

      1. Prior to upgrade, ensure that all plugins that are no longer present on your site are correctly uninstalled (this also applies if not upgrading too);
      2. Ensure you follow the upgrade guide, ensuring that all installed plugins are copied to the new version prior to upgrade

      1. Install site
      2. Install version 4.1.1 of this plugin (extract and copy the file content to <DIRROOT>/mod directory)
      3. Run upgrade process to complete installation
      4. Manually delete the <DIRROOT>/mod/customcert directory
      5. Run upgrade process if prompted
      6. Navigate to Plugins > Plugins overview in site administration
      7. Press Check for available updates
      8. Confirm the page reloads without errors
      9. Confirm you see an update for the customcert module

      Good day,

      We are trying to upgrade our moodle from 4.2.3 to 4.2.5 but we are unable to.

      We are getting an error saying "Coding error detected, it must be fixed by a programmer: Unknown plugin type: core"

      The php version is: 8.1.2

      Can you kindly assist?
