When removing course activities, the completion is not recalculated. This can cause a user to be unable to complete the activities without reticking course completion.

The specific issue occurrs in the following scenarios.

A course has multiple activites contributing to course completion.

A user has completed all but one activity.

That single activity is deleted from the course.

The user, when viewed in the course completion report, will now show as having all activities ticked off, but not get course completion awarded unless a user manually resets the course completion settings.

This isn't a hard workaround, but feels like something that should happen automatically.
