What's the purpose of the Tiny pagebreak plugin?

XMLWordPrintable

Nadia Perujo, from P&C in Moodle HQ, raised this question and, while looking at this TinyMCE plugin (https://www.tiny.cloud/docs-4x/plugins/pagebreak/), I kind of think that maybe, in Moodle, unless I'm missing anything, it could be removed:

      • When it's used in a forum, it's removed.
      • Outside a forum, for instance, in a Page, nothing happens (so, although it's saved, when, for instance, the page is printed, no new pages are created).

Is there any reason for leaving this pagebreak plugin in the TinyMCE editor? If not, I would suggest removing it in main at any point in the future.
