If in a TEST under the "Review option" the teacher:

• uncheck both options "Maximum marks" and "Marks"
• check "Receive a grade" and "Passing grade",
• Attempts allowed: 1
• Grade to pass: any value

then the QUIZ activity will never be marked as FAILED if the student fails the quiz.

From what I understand, the "Maximum marks" and "Marks" options have the exclusive purpose of PRESENTING the result of the QUIZ to student.

In the report "Actvity completion" the activity is labeled as "Not completed", nor red X (how so?)

If teacher check both options "Maximum marks" and "Marks" and the student reattempt the QUIZ then the activity is marked as Completed without pass grade + red X.

Is this a bug or the behavior is intended?
