This is covered by behat tests, but to test manually:

Create some questions in a category with various different tags

Create a quiz

Go to the Questions page, click Add > a random question.

Set the filters to the questions category and one of the tags, and add the question.

Click the "configure question" link (pencil icon)

Confirm the list of questions has the correct category and tag filters, and only questions with the specified tag are shown.

Go back and click the "See questions" link

Confirm that the same filters are applied to the questions displayed in the question bank, and the same questions are shown.

In a quiz, one can create a random question and set the category from which a question should be drawn plus a filter for tags (as far as I can see the only way to restrict the pool of possible questions inside a category).

The random question then provides a link "See questions". It, however, leads to a view of the question bank that is set the chosen category, but the filter for tags is not set. Consequently, the list contains all questions inside that category and not only the question pool for that random question.

What seems to be missing is the application of additional filter conditions.
