Calendar course name shortening corrupts formatted names

      1. Log in as admin
      2. Navigate to Plugins > Filters > Manage filters in site administration
      3. Set Multi-Language content to On & Apply to: Content and headings
      4. Create a new course
        • Course full name 

          <span class="multilang" lang="de">This is my long course using the German language</span><span class="multilang" lang="en">This is my long course using the English language</span>

      5. Navigate to Dashboard
      6. Confirm the courses filter in the Calendar block contains the following course: 

        This is my long course using the English language

      This change from MDL-81250 has got the ordering for shortening and formatting the text back to front

      We must format the course fullname before trying to shorten it, otherwise we potentially lose a lot of the pre-formatted data (especially on sites using multi-language tag markup)
