      Prerequisite
      1. Enable the "Enable web services for mobile devices" admin setting
      2. Moodle mobile app.
      3. Your Moodle mobile app should be able to connect to your Moodle website. You can either do the following:
        • Ensure that the phone with the mobile app and the web server are on the same network. Or
        • Expose the web server over the internet via ngrok.
      Test
      1. As an admin, enable “Web services for mobile devices” on Site administration ► Advanced features
      2. Create or use an existing course with a BigBlueButton activity.
        • You'll have to enable the BigBlueButton activity in Site administration > Plugins > Manage activities.
        • Then edit the settings to enter the server URL and shared secret. If you don't have an account at the Blindside Networks Registration Portal yet, you'll need to register for a free account to get your server URL and shared secret.
      3. Open the mobile app, access the course with a student user account and confirm that:
        • You are able to open the BigBlueButton activity in the app
        • Just testing that you can open it is enough

Tip: (Especially when using ngrok) Use the QR code on your user's profile page to easily connect to the Moodle site using the mobile app.

BigBlueButton was added in Moodle LMS 4.0, in order to support previous versions of the app, its previous mobile app support via plugin was kept so since LMS 4.0 this plugin has been supported in the mobile app via two different ways: LMS plugin and natively in the app.

I think that is time to remove the mobile app support via plugin in LMS 5.0 so the plugin will be only natively supported in the app from that moment on.
