HTML line break tags visible in feedback for forums with advanced grading

      Setup #1

      1. Login as Admin
      2. Create a new Forum activity to a course with these settings
        • Forum type = Q and A forum
        • whole forum grading = Point
        • grading method = Marking Guide
        • grade to pass = 0.00
        • Default setting for notify student = No
      3. Go 'Advanced grading', select 'Change active grading method to' to 'Marking guide'
      4. Click on Define new grading guide from scratch and add details to all required columns.
      5. Click on save marking guide and make it ready.
      6. Add a discussion topic as a admin.
      7. Login as a student and reply to the forum post.
      8. Login back as admin > Forum > click 'grade users'
      9. Give required score and in additional comments, add multiple lines of comments and click on save.

      Test #1

      • As the admin/teacher
        • When you go back to grade users and see the additional comments.
          • Should not see any "<br />" tags
      • As the student
        • when you try to see the grade and see additional comments
          • Should not see any "<br />" tags

      Setup #2

      • Go back to the forum setting
        • grading method = Rubric
      • Go 'Advanced grading', select 'Change active grading method to' to 'Rubric' 

       

      Test #2

      • As the admin/teacher
        • When you go back to grade users and see the additional comments.
          • Should not see any "<br />" tags
      • As the student
        • when you try to see the grade and see additional comments
          • Should not see any "<br />" tags

      1. Login to Moodle as Site admin or as a teacher.
      2.  Navigate to your test course and turn edit mode on.
      3. Add an Forum activity .
      4. In the forum settings, under Forum type select Q and A forum, under whole forum grading select Point , grading method as Marking Guide, grade to pass 0.00, Default setting for notify student as No
      5. Click save and display.
      6. Under advanced  grading, select marking guide for Change active grading method to
      7. Click on Define new grading guide from scratch and add details to all required columns.
      8. Click on save marking guide and make it ready.
      9. Add a discussion topic as a admin/teacher.
      10. Login as a student and reply to the forum post.
      11. Login back as teacher/admin , navigate to forum and click on grade users.
      12. Give required score and in additional comments, add multiple lines of comments and click on save.

      When you go back to grade users and see the additional comments, a line break will be visible in the feedback. This line break is visible both to teachers and students.
      Eg:
      This is test.<br />
      Will there be line break?<br />
