1. Go to Site admin / Users / Permissions / User policies
2. Set Alternative full name format = (alternatename) firstname lastname
3. Create user accounts or use existing ones for testing. One user with empty Additional names. And one user with values in the Additional names fields First name - phonetic, Last name - phonetic, Middle name, Alternative name. Example in screenshot
3. Go to Site administration / Users / Browse list of users page. Notice the following fields:
(first) Alternate name / First name / Last
(second) Email
(third) Last access
4. Click filters and select Username is equal to = [username of the user with values for the additional fields]
5. Click Apply.
RESULT: You will see that the name is displayed correctly in the results
6. Now click filters again, select Username is equal to = [username of the user with NO values in the additional fields]
7. Click Apply.
RESULT: There is nothing displayed in the results for the first field.
