      Description

      Steps to re-create:

      1. Create some teacher forum discussions in a 1.6 site
      2. Upgrade site to 1.8
      3. View teacher forum (in course section 0)

When logged in as an admin, following a discussion link results in a page with a header and footer but no discussion.

(Bug observed in Using Moodle teacher forum http://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?f=21 but not in Features demo teacher forum http://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?f=416)

We upgraded to 1.8.2 earlier (from 1.6.5), and noticed this bug. Today I upgraded to 1.8.2+ and we still have this. There is the Teachers Forum, and now admins can access it, but teachers get "You do not have the permission to view discussions in this forum" when going in there. Is this by design? Should admins move the discussions elsewhere and then remove this old Teachers forum?

          Reopening following Samuli's comment.

Teachers should be able to view discussions in the teacher forum.
