Description
- Log in as admin and browse to Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Message outputs > Manage message outputs.
- Disable Email notification.
- In the user dropdown menu (top right) go to Preferences then click Message preferences.
- Check that Email notification is not listed as a notification method for Personal messages between users
- Return to Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Message outputs > Manage message outputs and click the settings link for Mobile message.
- Complete the Mobile message fields and save changes.
- Return to Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Message outputs > Manage message outputs and click the settings link for Jabber message.
- Complete the Jabber message fields and save changes.
- In Manage message outputs re-enable email, check Mobile and Jabber is enabled
- Go back to User menu > Preferences > Message preferences again and check that Email and Mobile notification is listed for Personal messages between users
- Go to User menu > Preferences > Notification preferences.
- Click on settings icon for Jabber and add a Jabber ID.
- Go back to User menu > Preferences > Message preferences again and check that Jabber notification is also listed for Personal messages between users
