This is an exploratory test of a new feature, so please feel free to try anything you like and not just the test steps!

This test requires a forum activity containing at least 3 discussions.

      1. Log in as a student and go to the forum.
      2. Try starring and unstarring the discussions and check that each time a starred discussion is listed at the top of the forum page.
      3. Try viewing an unstarred discussion then go to the settings link (top right of the page) and click the link 'Star this discussion'.
      4. Check that a message is displayed 'Your star option has been updated.' and the link text has changed to 'Unstar this discussion'.
      5. Return to the forum page and check that the discussion you just starred is displayed as starred and is listed at the top of the forum page.
      6. Try viewing a starred discussion then go to the settings link and click the link 'Unstar this discussion'.
      7. Check that a message is displayed 'Your star option has been updated.' and the link text has changed to 'Star this discussion'.
      8. Return to the forum page and check that the discussion you just unstarred is displayed as unstarred and is no longer listed at the top of the forum page.
      9. Log out then log in as a different student or teacher, go to the forum and check that any discussions starred by the first student are not shown as starred to you.
