This test requires a SCORM 1.2 package which can handle multiple attempts (see http://docs.moodle.org/en/SCORM_FAQ#Handling_of_Multiple_Attempts ).

      1. Log in as a teacher, edit the settings for the SCORM activity and select the following options:
        • Grading method - Highest grade
        • Maximum Grade - 100
        • Number of attempts - Unlimited
        • Attempts grading - Highest attempt
        • Display attempt status - Dashboard and entry page
        • Force completed - Yes
        • Force new attempt - Yes
        • Display course structure on entry page - Yes
        • Auto continue - No
      2. Log in as student1, attempt the activity 3 times and check that the grade recorded in the gradebook is the highest attempt score.
      3. Login as the teacher, edit the settings for the activity and set the attempts grading to 'Average attempt'.
      4. Log in as student2, attempt the activity 3 times and check that the grade recorded in the gradebook is the average of all attempts.
      5. Log in as the teacher, edit the settings for the activity and set the attempts grading to 'First attempt'.
      6. Log in as student3, attempt the activity 3 times, trying to get 3 different grades, and check that the grade recorded in the gradebook is the score for the first attempt.
      7. Log in as the teacher, visit the SCORM reports tab and check that student3 has 3 attempts with the "attempts" column listed as "1, 2, 3" - not "2, 3, 4".
      8. Check the gradebook for student3 and verify that the grade reported by attempt 1 matches the grade stored in the gradebook.
      9. In the SCORM report page, select attempt 1 and choose to "delete selected attempts".
      10. Check that the attempts column now lists the attempts as "2, 3".
      11. Check the gradebook for student3 and verify that the grade has been updated to the grade given in attempt 2.
      12. Edit the settings for the activity and set the attempts grading to 'Last completed attempt'.
      13. Log in as student4, attempt the activity 3 times, ensuring that each attempt is a pass, and check that the grade recorded in the gradebook is the score for the last attempt.

Note: For every attempt made, the SCORM front page will display "Number of attempts you have made". If this doesn't change then make sure you have attempted all sections in SCORM. This status is displayed as "green ticks in SCORM course structure".
