Setup
- Create a competency framework CF1 if you don't have any.
- Add competencies with the following initial structure.
CF1
-> C1
-> C2
-> C3
-> C4
Moving a competency up and down.
- On the competencies tree, select C1.
- Click on the Edit menu and select Move down
- Confirm that C1's position is now below C2's.
- Refresh the page and check the competencies tree.
- Confirm that C1's position is still below C2's.
- Select C1, and click on the Edit menu and select Move up.
- Confirm that C1's position is now above C2's.
- Refresh the page and check the competencies tree.
- Confirm that C1's position is still above C2's.
Relocating a competency by drag and drop.
- Drag C4 under C2.
- Confirm that C4 gets relocated under C2.
- Click C4, then click on the Edit menu and select Edit
- On C4's Edit competency page, confirm that the Parent competency is set to C2.
- Go back to the CF1's Competencies page.
- Check the Competencies tree.
- Confirm that C4 is still under C2.
Relocating a competency by the Relocate menu item.
- Click C3, then click on the Edit menu and select Relocate
- On the Move competency dialogue, select C1 and click Move.
- After the dialogue has closed, check the competencies tree.
- Confirm that C3 is now relocated under C1.
- Click C3, then click on the Edit menu and select Edit
- On C3's Edit competency page, confirm that the Parent competency is set to C1.
- Go back to the CF1's Competencies page.
- Check the Competencies tree.
- Confirm that C3 is still under C1.
Cross-referencing competencies
- On the competencies select C1.
- Click on C1's Edit and select Add cross-referenced competency
- From the Competency picker dialogue, select C2, then click Add.
- After the dialogue has closed, check out C1's Cross-referenced competencies:
- Confirm that C2 is listed under Cross-referenced competencies.
