An admin can import events into the calendar

    Description

      The goal of this test is to verify that is possible to import calendar events using a calendar URL.

      Requirements

      • Visit moodle.org export calendar page
        • Click "All events", Time period "Recent and next 60 days" and click "Get calendar URL"
        • Copy the generated URL.
      • This test requires a course with some a teacher, students and at least a group.

      Site events

      1. As admin and go to 'Calendar > 'Import or export calendars > Import calendar'
        • Name e.g. 'Course calendar'
        • Import from "Calendar URL" to the URL you have
        • Select type of event field to 'Course events' and then select a course.
          then 'Import calendar' button.
      2. Go to your calendar and check that appropriate site level events have been created.
      3. Go to the Manage subscriptions page again and click the 'Delete' link opposite 'Site calendar'.
      4. Back to calendar page and verify that the events have been removed.

      Course and group events

      1. As teacher, go to the import calendar page again and set:
        • Name e.g. 'Course calendar'
        • Import from "Calendar URL" to the URL you have
        • Select type of event field to 'Course events' and then select a course.
          then 'Import calendar' button.
      2. Go to your calendar and check the course events have been added.
      3. Repeat the process above, now selecting group event type.
      4. Go to your calendar and check that appropriate group events have been added.
