1. Log in and access a text area in HTML format, such as the description field when editing your profile.
2. Enter some text and go through each of the text editor buttons checking that they work as expected.
3. Try inserting an image, an emoticon, a sound or video file and a custom character.

Repeat this test using a different web browser. Ideally this test should be done using Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Safari.
