1) As admin, navigate to Site administration>Reports>Event monitoring rules.
2) Click the 'Add a new rule' button and add the following:
*Name - New courses
*Select the plugin type - Core

• Select an event -Course created
  *Choose your own description/frequency and template message and save.
  3) Navigate to the user menu top right>Preferences>Event monitoring and verify you see 'Rules you can subscribe to' with the rule you just created.
  4) Click the + to subscribe
  5 )Verify you see the message 'Subscription successfully created' and that the event appears in your list of Your current subscriptions.
