What is this for, where should it go, does it need a DB? I need a bit more information than "clone moodle.org" please.
Sorry Matt for being so brief. Hopefully you're now fully informed since our moodle.org meeting today. If not, please talk to Dan (as I've no idea where it should go!)
Matt can you ensure we have this set up this week?
The clone can be found conveniently at clone.moodle.org, and SSH/HTTP access is the same as regular moodle.org. Note that CloudFlare is inactive to make CSS updates and whatnot easier for this domain, so no caching is in place.
Let me know if anything else is needed,
Thanks Matt, adding Dan and Petr as watchers for info.
PS Matt please could you confirm that emails from clone.moodle.org are disabled.
That is correct.
Somewhat related, there was a ticket yesterday for modifying code on the clone directly. I think this is a terrible idea and we should version any changes to the theme in a branch for the clone instead, otherwise subsequent pulls can clobber local differences.
1) We need ssh access for Dan, Martin, Barbara, Petr, Helen etc
2) helen can you fix the custommenu to fix URLs
All moodle.org custom menu items now changed to clone.moodle.org.
Seems like $CFG->noemailever = true; was commented out in the config.php, so I uncommented that.
What's the status of this? Is it still an issue at all or are we at the stage where this is being kept open more for maintenance of the new server? Can we drop priority or get an update on what's happening at least?
Hi Matt, we will need clone.moodle.org in the upcoming couple of months to test improvements related to MDLSITE-1862.
Please could you confirm that Dan, Martin, Barbara and Petr have ssh access (I don't particularly need it at the moment) then as far as I am concerned I think this issue can be marked as resolved.
As part of testing MDLSITE-1619 I sent a message to myself and found it delivered via jabber and email. I thought email was supposed to be disabled?
